The group class environment adds an important dimension to your dog’s socialization skills as he/she learns self-control and focus in the presence of other dogs and people.  All Group Classes and Clinics are held at our indoor, climate-controlled facility in Hamburg (see Directions) unless otherwise indicated.  Groups are small and intimate, allowing us to give you and your dog the attention you deserve.   See FAQs for more information.  Please register early to ensure a spot in our group classes!

BASIC II – IMPULSE CONTROL

Now that your dog has some basic skills, we add duration, distractions and distance, change contexts and raise the bar on what we learned in Basic 1 to build even greater focus, impulse control and reliability. More polite greeting exercises, formal stays, “Wait” (at doorways, curbs, stairs), “Stand” (to wipe paws, trim nails, etc.) and “Go to Mat” are introduced.  Class tuition includes written course materials and access to our private Facebook Support Library.
